CARC Derby Day

*** NEWS FLASH *** The date of the CARC Derby Day 2025 has changed.
CARC will hold its Annual DERBY DAY on Saturday April 26, 2025 at the W3SOX QTH located at 1367 Kiner Boulevard in Carlisle, PA.
If you can visualize the Carlisle Fish and Game Association, located on West Trindle Road, Dave Smith’s home is on the other side of the trees. The “West” in West Trindle Road is based on its location relative to Mechanicsburg.
Kiner Boulevard is accessible from Old Stonehouse Road.
The new date is one week earlier than the original date. The change is necessitated by the unavailability of the venue on the original date.

Begin: Saturday April 26, 2025 1300Z
End: Saturday April 26, 2025 2000Z
The times are somewhat flexible. We mentioned a 9 a.m. start and a 4 p.m. end.
The new date preserves the probability of pleasant weather which had been an important consideration in the selection of the original date.
The new date changes the mix of On-The-Air activities with different State QSO Parties and DX Contests. They are:
Florida QSO Party
Helvetia Contest — Work stations in Switzerland
UK-EI DX Contest — Work stations in the United Kingdom and Ireland
10-10 Spring Contest Digital Modes — Work stations on Ten Meters Only
SP DX RTTY Contest — Work stations in Poland using RTTY Only
Initial plans call for sending out for restaurant food.
